Dallas Cowboys Practice Facility Collapse - Should There Be More or Less Regulation of Markets?
According to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium Roof Collapse Report posted by EngineersEdge.com, "A fabric-covered, steel frame practice facility owned by the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys collapsed under wind loads significantly less than those required under applicable design standards, according to a report released on October 6 for public comment by the Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Located in Irving, Texas, the facility collapsed on May 2, 2009, during a severe thunderstorm Twelve people were injured, one seriously." Would accidents such as this be more or less common with reduced government regulation of markets?
Good old dallas cowboys.
